Best r7 st club I have ever hit. The hits it solid, long, strait and consistent, it feels as solid as any club in the bag. I hit it 220-230 and that’s 15-20 yards longer than my Nickent Cross 3-wood. The r7 is an excellent golf club. It is very hit-able off the deck and from the tee. It has a shallow face which means you need to tee it low, but 240+ off the tee still easily reachable and is very consistent for a nibble golf club. Similar distance off the deck due to better trajectory; performs well in moderate rough. Not the longest 3w I’ve hit, but enough. I use the g2 driver and find the fairway most of the time with that, so primary duty for this is from the deck or in instances where a 270y drive is too much or too risky. Would perhaps benefit from a different shaft, but overall no complaints

If you are a golfer and have every tried to use any hybrid golf clubs, you are really missing the boat.  These clubs are designed to help “average” golfers hit shots that typically challenge them.  The clubs are built specifically to help you get the ball in the air quickly and to avoid the “gross mis hits”
that often occur when golfers try to hit a 3 or 4 iron under any type of pressure.  I will share with you three reasons that you need to take a look at a hybrid:

1.  You will not try to hit shots you know you can’t —  Golf is a game where confidence or lack of confidence pretty much determines your shot quality. If you do not think you can hit a shot, you will not hit a good shot.  There are very few “fluke” great shots in golf.  If you are looking at a 3 iron shot over water, you pretty much know if you have a chance of pulling off the shot.  You want to hit clubs that you have a chance in your mind to do the shot successfully.

2.  You will be able to get balls in the air from the rough — The golf club components that are put together for your long irons are not manufactured with a lot of features that will help you get the ball up in the air from the rough.  The heads are small and the launch angle is very flat.  If you do not strike the ball in the sweet spot, the ball can pretty much just roll down the fairway.  This is not a good thing.

3.  You will increase your “good yardage” by at least 10 yards —  Every golfer has a yardage range that they are pretty solid on.  I am pretty solid from 170 yards in.  When I need to hit a 190 yard shot over water, I know I am going to struggle.  When I hit my hybrid wood, this gives me the extra 20 yards that I can hit the ball pretty straight and in the air.  This helps my confidence in these shots dramatically.

If you love to play golf, and want to expand your capability easily, I would recommend getting a hybrid wood and practicing with it.  You will find that you expand your comfort zone and actually hit better shots at longer yardage shots.
