A Trip To The Golf Course
He didn’t even know a wedge from a wood, he thought, as he strolled through an isle that exhibited duffel bags, and something called a golf bag trolley. The pro was there to help him pick out the essentials for his first lesson, and off they went to the tee. After just that short bit of time on the course, he knew that this was his sport, and he wanted to know everything about it.
He turned his attention to the trolley that first caught his eye when he came in earlier. Now that he had a bag, he was able to anticipate his immediate needs. Maybe later this year, he would invest in a golf wagon, but for now, all he really wanted was something simple to carry his bag. He chose a black carrier with 3 wheels, and a small motor that would make navigating around the greens more enjoyable. This was a definite step up from his uncle’s push cart. The assistant was helpful and told him that the battery would easily get him though their 18-hole golf course. He warned that each trolley has their own disposition, and that this one had specific recharging requirements. Charging the battery after each 18 holes would be essential, with the first charge taking 24 hours. He was given a brochure and other pamphlets showing telephone numbers, a site address, and a warranty application neatly tucked into a handsome folder. A business card for a reputable repair man was firmly stapled to the corner.
Storage was offered at the pro shop, and he was shown a cool, dimly lit room. This was the suggested environment for the trolleys. The pro shop would make certain that the cart was charged after each use. If he chose to take it to and from the golf course, the instructions were easy, but very important to follow. This would insure a long life for the battery.
