On a single charge, the mileage should be tested. The control and steering of the cart is also vital, and these must be checked with the help of a test drive. Brakes used in the golf cart should be gentle on the grass and yet strong, as golf carts may cause damage to the green cover when they are stopped.  The tires should be relatively new or in a good shape. Used golf carts are not a good option if they have to be repaired, as a lot of investment may get stuck into the cart without it even moving properly. Certain golf carts come equipped with GPS systems which help players calculate the distance between various holes.
